LOVE first entered popular culture as a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in 1964. Designed by sculptor Robert Indiana, LOVE, as a sculpture, resides in many cities across the planet and in many languages. The 12-foot-tall LOVE has been a part of the New York landscape since 1971.
